Thank you for your interest in joining AIIB’s Internship Program.
The program aims to offer postgraduate students an opportunity to
gain relevant work experience while contributing to the growth and
success of AIIB.
Eligibility
Successful applicants must have excellent academic records and professional qualifications and possess strong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills. The program is open to candidates of any nationality.
Education: Successful candidates must be enrolled in a master’s or doctorate full-time graduate study program from an internationally recognized institution with plans to return to school. Candidates working toward degrees in areas aligned with AIIB’s institutional goals are preferred.
Experience: Relevant professional work experience (including summer jobs and internships) is not necessary but would be an advantage.
Communications: Fluent in oral and written English.
AIIB Employment Restriction Policy: A partner or close relative of a staff member shall not be eligible to apply for the AIIB Internship Program. Successful candidates may not apply for or be appointed to a contract or full-time equivalent position at AIIB during the period of their internship and for one year immediately following the expiration date thereof.
Timeline
The AIIB Internship Program recruitment process will take place in
February and April 2018. Each internship opportunity will last between
two and three months.
Compensation
All successful candidates will receive a monthly allowance of USD1,800.
Visa Application and Travel
Where applicable, expenses associated with the visa application process could be borne by AIIB. If air travel is required between the intern’s school and Beijing for an appointment trip, AIIB will provide round-trip tickets in economy class. Such tickets shall be purchased via AIIB’s travel contractor.
